The Great North Run experience

Here is my race report for the Great North Run. I will get back to my running journey shortly but wanted to put this into words while I can still remember it all. Beyond proud.
Training takes many forms.
How has it been almost a year?
May you were a blast!
Two different marathons.
Tagging some more Wainwrights, 6 to be precise.
Running can be such a humbling experience. I realised on the climb up to green gable that my legs just weren’t there. @miutmadeira and then pacing on Thames path (no regrets) had taken it out of me. I wasn’t fully recovered and also I had lost sight of the gang. I was holding them back. So I just made decision to cut out the big climb up to Scafell pike and route though the pass back. I was ok with that. I had the steep assent to Great Gable to come via windy pass. That was tough for me with some climbing and I so proud I did it. The views were stunning. 360 Lake District with all the big ones on beautiful display.
You’ve come a long way, actually and figuratively.
Thanks for coming you lovely lot!
